Urban Decay Perversion & Subversion Duo // Review.

Good Afternoon lovelies!

First of all a massive apology for not posting for ages. Everything has been a bit crazy over the past fews months due to me moving house and starting back at uni for my third and final year. However! I'm back with a review of this little beauty that my wonderful Mother treated me to a few weekends ago - The Urban Decay Perversion Mascara, which included a sample of the Subversion Lash Primer.
(Apologies about the awful lighting, promise you I'm working on it!)

So the Perversion Mascara promises to give you bigger, black and badder lashes and I have to say that I agree completely! My lashes look fuller and darker with just one coat. I have to say that it completely tops any other mascara I have used previously. Using it with Subversion just makes it a whole lot better! The fine combed brush makes sure that it coats each one of my lashes making them longer and fuller. At first I was apprehensive about using a lash primer as I have been blessed with long lashes anyway, I was worried that it would make them look fake and clumpy. How very wrong I was, combining these two products together just gives you the most lovely looking lashes ever and I can see that I will be repurchasing this for a long time to come.

Below you can see the difference between Perversion with and without Subversion. Without Subversion I find that my lashes tend to stick together a little bit, but with Subversion my eyelashes a much more separated and fluttery. (Please ignore my terrible excuse of eyebrows and skin)

Perversion on it's own.

Subversion by itself.

Perversion and Subversion together.

I have never been able to fault Urban Decay products and I'm happy to add this to the list of things I love by them. At only £17.00, I can see it being a constant item in my makeup bag. Having previously buying No.7 mascara for around £12.00 I am completely converted as it is far superior.

Brush Cleaning Routine.

Good Evening!

It's been a while I know, I'm ever so sorry! But today I thought that I would share with you what I do to keep my makeup brushes nice and clean. It is super important that you do this as it can prevent breakouts and removes product buildup and any bacteria that might be on them! I aim to wash mine every 2 weeks as I do not wear makeup every day they don't get overly grimy. If I use them more than that I will obviously clean them more often.

So first things first I fill up a bowl with fresh warm water, grab a couple of towels for any spills, all my brushes and some shampoo. (I also give my tweezers a quick rinse to keep them clean). I normally use baby shampoo and No7. Brush Cleanser, but I didn't have any baby shampoo and completely forgot about my brush cleanser this time... Nice one Mais. So I resorted to using the last little bit of my Aussie Mega Shampoo.

Then I put a little bit of shampoo in the palm of my hand, dip the brush/brushes in the water and swirl them in the shampoo. Once all the product has washed out, I rinse them in clean water and lay them out to dry on one of the towels. I also change the water in the bowl a couple of times.

(I know the water looks horrid but I had just rinsed all the eyeshadow out of these brushes)

After that I just leave them to dry naturally overnight then fluff them up the next day so they are ready to use again :)

Triangl Bikini // Review

Good Afternoon Lovelies!

So last Monday I made a little bit of an expensive purchase and it arrived this morning so I thought I would share it with you all! Anyone who follows my Instagram will have seen me drooling over this a few weeks ago and seeing as I am going on holiday next week I thought that I would take the plunge and buy it (I had also had a few cocktails when I entered my card details). Anyway here is what I ordered:

Yep I gave into the hype and bought a Triangl Bikini! The design that I purchased is the Milly Santa Rosa Splash and it is gorgeous!

Overall the quality of the bikini cannot be faulted, as described on the website their bikinis are made from neoprene fabric making them very durable and supportive. The only negative thing I can say about it is the sizing as I ordered both parts in medium and am unsure about whether or not I am happy about the fit. On the Triangl website there is the option to chat to a representative about any sizing queries you may have and after giving the woman my measurements she recommended that I chose this size. However once trying it on I have found that the bottoms dig in a little on my hips (I have wide hips and a big bum...) and the top is slightly loose around my back. I am unsure about whether or not I am happy with this product and am yet to decided whether I can work with it or will send it back...

Has anyone else ordered anything from Triangl? If so please leave your opinions in the comments!

Weekend Treats.

Good Evening Lovelies!

This weekend my wonderful Mumma came down to visit, it was so lovely to see her and spend time together. Seeing as I live with my boyfriend I don't tend to see my family that often, so I love it when I get to have time with them. It has also been quite a good shopping weekend and was good to have some time away from working so I could just chill out! Anyway in terms of shopping I literally went mad in H&M... Everything in there at the moment is so pretty and I took it as an opportunity to pick up some more basics bits and finish up my holiday shopping.

Here is what I got:

Black Crop Top £3.99, White Crochet Cami £14.99, Printed Cami £3.99

Grey & White Cardigans £7.99, Black Jersey Maxi Dress £9.99

Patterned Trousers £12.99, Denim Shorts £12.99

I can't get over how impressed I am with H&M at the moment. Everything is so reasonably priced and such good quality (definitely better and mostly cheaper than Primark I think these days!).

I FINALLY have some EOS lip balms! I found these beauties in the hair shop in town after asking a woman who came into work where she got them. I picked up the Lemon Drop & Honey Suckle Honey Dew ones and I'm already in love! I've been looking at these on Amazon and Ebay for a while and was put off by postage. These were only £3.49 each so I cant exactly complain as they are such good quality!

Then my Mumma treated me to this....

I can't even get over how excited I am about finally getting the Mad Hatter! For those of you that know me, you will know that Alice in Wonderland is literally my favourite book & film. I was given the Cheshire Cat & Alice last year and last week my boyfriend treated me to the White Rabbit for doing well in my dance show (photos on my instagram). Now I just need the Queen of Hearts (if she ever comes out again) and I have a full set. I'm such a little kid when it comes to Alice, I just can't control it.

My Mumma also paid for me to finally have my ears re-pierced after around four years, maybe more not wearing any earrings. I originally had them done when I was 12yrs old but had a right mare with them... my right ear wasn't pierced right and the woman got the gun stuck on my lobe amongst other complications! Traumatising. Anyway I finally decided to have them done again and despite being ridiculously anxious it didn't even hurt! I'm honestly so proud of myself and so happy with how they turned out! I had little hearts to match my nose stud :)

My final treat of the weekend was a joint present from my Mumma and myself as we went halves on it. It is this gorgeous moonstone bracelet from The Very Bazaar in town. It so simple and precious that I couldn't be without it! I have a love for semi-precious and precious stones and have an array of rings that I have acquired over the years, so it's about time I got a bracelet really ;)

I think that might be enough for today anyway!

What have you been purchasing recently?

My Everyday Face.

Good Afternoon lovelies!

Today I thought that I would show you what I put on my face on a daily basis, except when I'm at Uni because dancing in a full face of makeup is not fun. I do mix it up from time to time depending on what I'm doing or wearing, but generally I opt for quite a nude and natural look for the day time and I might jazz it up in the evening with a brighter lip sometimes.

So here is me completely bare faced, under eye circles, blemishes and all. (I also haven't done my hair so it's all fluffy!)

Then with the help of a few of my favourite products I manage to create something a little more acceptable ;)

Product list: Baby Lips in Hydrate
'HD Brows' Palette
Bourjois chocolate bronzer in shade 51
No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara
Mac Lustre Lipstick in Patisserie
No7 Stay Perfect Foundation in Calico
No7 Match Made Concealer in Calico
Benefit Rockateur Blush
Mac Studio Fix Powder in NW22
Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

The eyebrow palette that I use is supposedly a HD Brows Palette that I bought from Brow Bar in Highcross. I think it cost around £20, only thing that disappointed me about it is that when I got home I found that it was an unbranded palette that I probably could get on Ebay for under £10. Luckily it is a really good palette that I can use to blend together to match my brows perfectly (although sometimes I put them on a little dark by accident).

The two colours that I use are the 1st and 3rd colours in the palette. I apply them with an angled brush and blend them to my desired colour.

For my eyes I use my new Naked Basics palette that I bought a few weeks ago. The palette is priced at £22 and contains these six lovely matte shades. However I was given Debenhams gift cards for my birthday and had collected enough points on my Beauty Card for a £5 reward, reducing it to £17! I wear this everyday I love it that much. The shades that I tend to use are W.O.S all over my lid then I blend Naked2 and Faint into the crease. I then use Crave as a liner across the outer corner of my eye and just under the out corner of my lower lid.

So finally here is what all these products manage to create, I promise its the angle that makes my eyebrows look a dodgy shape!

What are you favourite everyday products?

Spending Imaginary Money.

Good Afternoon Beautiful People!

This afternoon I may have given my bank account a little bit of a battering... oops. I went out for lunch with my Dad then made the mistake of letting myself go into Boots, although I really did need some of the things I bought today. I should not however have let myself browse, browsing is honestly the worst thing I can do. But anyway I did pick up some lovely bits and heres what I got:

Okay so I know its an odd collection of items and in all honestly I only really needed two of them but I'm terrible. So I did actually need the Dove Style+Care heat protectant spray and the Witch Stick (my holy grail in skincare) and the rest was just because really. Im aware the Tisserand Lavender Wheat Bag is a bit odd but as a dancer I always have aches and pains. Currently my right shoulder is not happy so I thought that this would alleviate the pain a little (it has, I'm sitting with it draped over me right now), plus it was reduced to £3. I picked up the Rimmel Clear Complexion powder as my Mac Studio Fix powder has hit pan and I wanted a transparent powder to finish my foundation. This powder was actually the first ever powder I bought when I first started wearing makeup at about 14, and at £3.99 it was a little more affordable.

I also picked up these two lipsticks that I have been after for a while, they are the L'oreal Collection Privee in Julianne and Eva. They are beautiful and priced at £8.19 each, I couldn't resist. In terms of colour, Eva's Nude is more of a peachy pink colour whilst Julianne's Nude is a more of a raspberry pink (I've got swatches below).

Back in April I was lucky enough to be given gift cards for Debenhams for my 20th Birthday. So I popped in today and picked up the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in the colour Sin for £13.33 (it was on sale). It's a gorgeous champagne colour, and I'm super excited to try it out soon with my Naked Basics palette that I picked up a couple weeks ago and have been living in it ever since.

(L-R) Sin Primer Potion, Eva's Nude & Julianne's Nude.

What have you picked up recently?

Vans and The Beatles.

Good evening beautiful people!

So on Tuesday I may have made a little purchase...

I have to say that I think I have a serious shoe addiction. I originally went into town to get my bus and ended up wandering into Office... In my defence though, I have been lusting over a pair of slip on Vans for weeks! Having originally had my heart set on the black and white check pair, although I was kicking myself for potentially repurchasing them, seeing as I had a pair when I was 14 and got rid of them! :( But instead these little beauties caught my eye and I just couldn't resist. I mean just look at them and all their beautiful colours! I admit I'm not a true fan of The Beatles but I do love their artwork and these shoes which are limited edition called 'Sea of Monsters' and I'm a sucker for limited edition (hence my purchase of the Liberty print Nike Internationalist's only a few months ago... oops). I probably will go back and buy some check ones in a few weeks though, I would have bought both pairs there and then but I couldn't quite stretch my student loan that far. At full price these Vans would be £51.99 but with 10% student discount I only paid £46.80, student discount is literally my excuse to buy anything, which I think isn't too bad at all.
